Trace Maps

Our Tarlings in England.

This map ranges from Cheltenham in its South South West to Nottingham in its North North East and encompasses the area of the Tarling roots from William (born Abt, 1779, Cleeve) to our wanderlust Frank (born 26 Dec 1878, Cheltenham), who ranged this area before emigrating to Australia and settling as a farmer outside Young NSW.

Our Tarlings in Australia.

This map covers an area, from Young in its West where Frank settled, up to Bathurst in its North where Frank's son Richard (Dick) went to school and down to Canberra in its South where Dick and his wife Joan raised their children and where Frank died.

Perhaps a point of interest. Canberra Australia's capital city is located in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) encompassed by a boundary line on the above map and is located in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales and you are probably saying, I knew that. But did you know? On the coast of the above map south of Huskisson and just east of Sussex Inlet you will notice another boundary line, it encloses part of the Booderee National Park, the navel base HMAS Creswell and township Jervis Bay and is in fact a division of the ACT, providing Canberra with its own port.
